A schematic model of the immunomodulatory mechanism of T-MSCs. T-MSCs stimulated by IFN-γ and TNF-α secrete T cell-specific chemokines and iNOS to recruit T cells and inhibit their proliferation and activation. iNOS mediates the anti-inflammatory effects of T-MSCs, and consequently alleviates IBD and liver injury
