From: Human lung cancer-derived mesenchymal stem cells promote tumor growth and immunosuppression

Human lung cancer-derived mesenchymal stem cells inhibit NK cell-mediated tumor destruction in vitro. Tumor cells were cultured in normal medium for 24 h (A) or 48 h (B) in the presence or absence of hLC-MSCs at hLC-MSC:NK cell ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 in the contact system. The data are expressed as the mean ± SD based on data from three independent replicates. *Statistically significant (P < 0.05) difference compared with that of the cultures performed without hLC-MSCs.
